SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER ON OUR NEW VOLUNTEER PLATFORM

Some of the greatest features of our community are the number and quality of our open spaces and we share a responsibility to care for and maintain them.

At SPUR’s twice-annual park and beach clean-up, hundreds of volunteers pick up trash and debris from
public spaces in Lynn, Marblehead, Salem, and Swampscott in partnership with other community organizations.
Teams of volunteers meet with a team leader at a designated meeting spot to receive gloves and trash bags
and then work together to remove the trash left behind or washed ashore.
Here are just some of the locations that we typically clean in the following communities:

Lynn: Lynn Common, Red Rock Park, Keaney Park & more

Marblehead: Devereux/Riverhead Beaches, Gatchel Park, Goldwaithe & more!

Salem: Forest River Park, Winter Island, Salem Willows & more!

Swampscott: Phillips Beach, Ewing Woods, Philips Beach & more!
